    Default Template install

    Link to my website https://www.jrcdesigns.co.uk/

I havent as yet made any modifications to the site as want to get the theme sorted first so its a clean install.
    I use ws-ftp to upload.
Php shows version 4.9.5 under phpmyadmin

I havent used Zen cart in a number of years and have just reinstalled it.

I am trying to install a theme Grand Sterling and following the instructions it says to change the name of the folder in the theme package to that of the admin folder of zencart but there is more than one and I have no idea which folder name to change it to. Any help with this would be great as have spent days searching.
I have not installed a responsive theme before and previously on my zencart a few years ago never had issues installing a theme.

    Thank you

    Angie

    Stirling Grand template:
    https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1752

When you unzip the package, there is a folder called

    stirling_grand/files/YOUR_ADMIN_FOLDER

    rename that to

    stirling_grand/files/whatever-you-named- your-admin-folder.

You can't use the name "admin" any longer for your admin folder - it's a way of keeping pests from trying to login and break your store.

    https://docs.zen-cart.com/user/installing/rename_admin/

    Does this make sense now?

    Version v1.5.7
    Website https://www.jrcdesigns.co.uk/
Php shows version 4.9.5 under phpmyadmin
    Ftp used is ws-ftp

I am still stuck with this.
I did use softaculus to install Zencart but uninstalled it took out the database and did the proper install of Zencart which is now up and running but following the instructions on how to change the template it just does not show up in the Tools and select template section in the Zen cart admin and I have no idea where I am going wrong.

Zen cart is sat in my public html folder of my cpanel file manager if this makes a difference, I am taking a guess it is the admin directory that is my name for my admin folder?
Watching videos etc hasn't made it any clearer as they are not clear on what folder they are going to as there is no name to that folder showing. So I have no idea if I am doing something wrong or what I could be doing wrong.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Angie

If Zen Cart is installed inside your public_html folder, then yes, your admin folder is

    public_html/admin/

You will want to rename that using the instructions in the link I posted.

    Thank you

On re-installing Zencart the proper way the admin folder name was changed so the Admin directory name is the name of the admin folder ?
Do I upload the files by clicking that named folder and opening it and transfering them over or directly into my public html folder as that is where all the zencart the files are ?
As I have a folder named as the admin directory which is the admin folder which sits in public html but also all the files in public html as that is where I put them following the tutorial ?
