What's the simplest way to get links to my facebook and twitter pages in the footer or a sidebox? I don't really care where it is as long as it's consistent on all main pages.

Dude, just grab one of the sidebox templates and adapt then set it to show in the admin (Tools > Layout Boxes Controller).

Theres two files to doctor/upload, although I havent done this for years, one in the \includes\templates\yr-mofkn-templates\sideboxes\ and one in the modules folder - \includes\modules\sideboxes\. The latter is where you fill yr content.

Footer is in \includes\templates\yr-mofkn-templates\common\tpl_footer.php
