Need to retrieve Customer and Order data through API calls

Currently using zencart version v1.5.6a . Need to know that whether we can get data(Customer and Order details ) from zen cart using API calls . ?
are there any built in API system in zen cart to do that ?

no, you will have to build it yourself and query the database.

if you know the PHP language can be very easy implemented API system.

Could you please tell me , are there any modules that i can use to import/export Customers and Orders data from zencart and to zencart ?

Actually I want to Integrate Zencart system with another system , So I need to get customers and order details from zencart side , as well i need to update the zencart database for inventory and other fulfillment. Since zencart doesn't have built in API system I wanted to find a better plugin or module to do this syncing for both side. (I/O)
