Default Upgrade from v157 to v157b vs SBA

I am running v157 with only one plugin which adds code. It is the SBA plugin. Is it safe to upgrade to v157b and skipping v157a?

i am not familiar with the SBA plugin; if it does not modify core files, you should be fine.

running v157, and going straight to v157b should not be a problem. these letter releases do not change the database; they tend to fix code and so are just newer/better versions of existing scripts. so going straight to v157b would be fine.

I cannot speak authoritatively to that plugin,
but a cursory inspection suggests that you can probably safely keep the SBA's version of the following files instead of the new ones that are part of v157a/b because the SBA changes are the important ones:
    SBA/1_5_7/admin/attributes_controller.php
    SBA/1_5_7/admin/invoice.php
    SBA/1_5_7/admin/orders.php
    SBA/1_5_7/admin/packingslip.php
    SBA/1_5_7/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_account_history_info_default.php (if any)
    SBA/1_5_7/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_checkout_confirmation_default.php
    SBA/1_5_7/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_shopping_cart_default.php

Again, that's just by looking quickly at some files. I've not tested it so I can't promise any particular outcome.

You don't need (or want) to run zc_install again. Just update the site's zc157 file-set with the updates provided by zc157b.
