me again :/ using a free template downloaded from here with issues

so ive installed a clean 1.57b and chosen a template tableau 2 from the zen downloads, looks great as you can see at crazygamer.uk however i can't change to my logo ive replaced the logo.gif with mine and it still wont playball. i thought id test the site out and removed all the currencies i didnt want leaving just gbp set to value 1.00. it wont display the £ symbol.

ive tested the order system it seems fine.

id also like to know if its possible to take the header from my old template so the logo blends in correctly to the new template? its the grey banner it goes from light to dark, the logo was designed to sit on that, its animated so id like to try keep it if possible

i tried to upload the .gif to show you but it changed it to a heavily pixalated .jpg :/ wayback machine for crazygamer.co.uk shows it

here it shows the order as £2.50 which i set to 0.00 for first order. second order i didnt do as price was showing as "0", interesting thin is invoice shows this.....

fixed the pricing issue had a plugin showing as not installed, just the logo/banner thing now

The template is looking for a PNG file, not a GIF.

it also had a .gif version and it also has a choose logo option under template selection but it refuses to change, what file would i be looking for to rewrite to make it look for a .gif would that be the header.php?

managed to get the logo loaded but it looks rubbish with that background, in my old template what would that faded bar graphic banner be saved as where my logo would have gone?
