I seem to have installed 1.5.7 instead of 1.5.7b into store

Before I go to far is it simple to upgrade or

should I put the 1.5.7b in a new folder cart and install from scratch?

You would need to update all the files that changed in v157a and v157b. The list of those files is included in the /docs/ directory of every Zen Cart download. It's also online at https://www.zen-cart.com/docs/changed_files-v1-5-7.html

You can also use a program like WinMerge to compare your customized 157 against original 157 files to identify all the things you've altered, and decide whether it's simpler to just re-implement those changes on a fresh v157b site.

Note that there were no database changes between 157/157a/157b so there's no need to run zc_install to do a db upgrade. You can keep the same db as you've been using.
