How do I install the sql from my old site to my new one?

I did this in a terminal
bash-5.0$ mysql -u root -p zencart < sqllocal.sql
Enter password:

entered password and it appeared to accept it but the store has not changed.

Is there another way to enter the sql?

Assuming your sqllocal.sql actually contains a proper export of the so-called "old" database, chances are the data *is* indeed now in the "new" database. If it's not "recognized" then perhaps your "old" and "new" use different table-prefixes (see DB_PREFIX in each site's /includes/configure.php file), so Zen Cart doesn't know anything about the data you just added because it's still looking at the other set of tables in the database.
