Default Why no support for Authorize.net Host Accepted

We are using ZenCart 1.5.7b with Authorize.net SIM.

SIM is depreciated and getting a lot of time outs. The alternative seems to be Host Accepted but I cannot find any ZenCart support for it.

    Will this be supported?

    Is there another alternative?

Is there a way of preventing the SIM time outs?

i can only say that authorize.net is an interesting example of something... what i can not say...

troubleshooting timeouts; if everything is configured properly generally means a host problem.

authorize.net has been saying these older forms of authorizing cc transactions have been deprecated for quite some time. whether they will follow through on actually deprecating them is anyone's guess. my information (not very current) says there are too many websites using these older methods for them to deprecate them. they only make money if you use them... they have no real leverage on all of the websites that use them, and force them to upgrade.

similar to other example apis they have on github, their host accepted has not been updated in 2 years.... a lifetime in web development. 15 reported issues with no input from their dev team. sad if you ask me.

i did work on card on file transactions which makes use of their API. you can download it here:

    https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=2272

doing work on their hosted payment solution does not look in the cards (for me)... but you never know....
