Importing new products for digital download store

Hello,

Currently running on ZC 1.5.6 with a digital download store. We acquired another company with 3,600 additional digital download products that we want to import instead of manually adding each one. We are considering using the MySQL Admin interface to do it since it does not appear that Easy Populate will grab zip file attributes in the zen_products_attributes_download table.

A couple of questions:

1) It appears there are 4 tables linked by keys & foreign keys we would need to import: zen_products, zen_products_description, zen_products_attributes, and zen_products_attributes_download. Are there any other tables we would need to import the products successfully?

2) We will modify the CSV downloads of these four tables from the competitors site and change the products_id to be the next number in sequence on our existing site, and make sure the products_attributes_id is unique and matches up with the correct products_id. Any other keys or foreign keys we need to consider?

3) We would then import all four CSV files into the correct tables. Is there any particular sequence we should import the tables in?

There's a feature that has been only partially incorporated, but the software has been being maintained for newer php versions and to try to address anything that might need to be changed otherwise.

I uploaded the files as instructed and got the two warning messages. When I go into Configuration, Easy Populate 4 is not listed there. Confused on next step?

While on the tools->Easy Populate 4 page after loading the files, should have had two messages at the top, one that the uploads folder was missing, the other to install EP4 with a clickable link to do so.

When the link is clicked, there should then have been just one message about the uploads folder missing. If after that, the configuration menu is missing, then I would suggest returning to the tools menu, clicking the un-install EP4 link in the upper right under the ZC toolbar and then again selecting the install link from that second message.

I just loaded the code to a ZC 1.5.7c site that didn't have the code present before just now to provide this direction.

So would the detailed products attributes option be the one that would likely have the zip file attributes associated with it?
