Blank page during 1.5,7c upgrade

I ran into 2 issues when upgrading from version 1.5.7b to c.
1. /admin/includes/application_bootstrap.php - I could no longer access my admin page. Got a blank page. Replaced with 1.5.7b version and it worked.
2. /includes/application_top.php - My website showed a blank page. Solution was the same as #1

Any thoughts?

What was your process for identifying what to "upgrade"? How was that particular upgrade performed (e.g. Were the necessary files just swapped out, was the entire store rebuilt)
What php version was set for the store?
Were those the "last" files to replace and problem occurred then, or was there other files still to be addressed?

Hi Carol,
I upgraded from 157b to 157c yesterday too, but didn't have problems. Were you perhaps logged into your admin during the upgrade? I was not. I also used WinSCP for my file transfers/uploads.

Oh also and forgot to mention, when the blank page occurred, what myDebug logs were generated in the logs folder? Note that a file such as myDEBUG-adm will contain information about the admin folder name. Please sanitize before posting.

Both of those would be a result of having not yet copied in the new file: /includes/functions/php_polyfills.php

And, as mentioned earlier, an entry in the /logs/myDebug-xxxxx.log files would also have indicated same.

That's the answer. I uploaded the files in the order of the "list of changed files" checking as I went along to make sure things were working. The php.polyfills.php file was towards the end so that got loaded later.
