Problem finalizing payments

I have ran my Zen Cart store for several years, haven't changed anything and a customer called me this afternoon and told me they can't finish the checkout process. They get to the payment area, go through the steps, put in the credit card information, click on it and it says go to step 2/3 and put information again. I tried myself, thought maybe it was an issue with Authorize.net, so I tried the PayPal option, same thing, it won't click through to finalize payment.

Can someone help me please, I don't know if I should call my hosting company, authorize.net or is this something I need to address in Zen Cart.

i will go with option b, hosting company. sounds like a switch on php versions. i could be wrong.

are there any log files?

Two things wrong that I saw via the Firefox developer tools:

1. There's no jQuery loaded, but there are jQuery plugins loaded. That could explain the unable-to-checkout issue.
2. The site doesn't have the 'samesite' cookie set (it's currently set to None). That will lead to various issues during the checkout processing.

i do not mean to have thread drift, but this looks like a problem as well. sale price should not be higher than base price. unless i am missing something here. (entirely possible!)
