Nothing required in the module.
You'll note that in their email they're talking about firewalls, not about payment modules.
Thus, as long as your server isn't behind a firewall that only accepts IPN traffic from certain IPs then there's no action required.

Thanks for the clarification. They refer to an "Access Control List (ACL) ". If they had just said firewall all would have been clear...
