Thanks. It does seem to be a DB connection error, but I reuploaded the zc_install folder to clean up my errors and get back into the admin backend. So I'll try again and pay closer attention to what I'm doing. The database and user seem to be correct, but I did just notice in myPhpAdmin that the copy of the database I made does not have zen_ table prefixes so that may possibly be where I went wrong.
Is the 'repair database' in Cpanel performing the same function as the fix_cache_key plugin?
