Default Admin not installing square or other plugins after upgrade

I updated one site... repeated same process exactly with a second site but now, none of the uninstalled modules will install. It goes to a blank page and just spins. The installed mods work fine..but unable to install square or a new shipping mod, etc. I don't suppose there is a quick fix that someone knows about? Thank you.

There should be something in the logs folder telling you what is going on.

If you have not fixed your database problems, it's not a good idea to be loading mods till it's fixed.

Just as a follow up... whatever tweaks i made over the years made it necessary for me to just do a fresh install. When i initially installed, i overwrote the old info and did the upgrade database, etc. Worked for first site, not for second. I can only waste so many hours tinkering, finally just did a completely fresh install, imported the database and finished off any missing customization afterwards. I think it may be some shipping plugins that soured the first attempt as the debug (thanks for teaching me that) pointed to the flat rate clones as an issue. but uninstalling them was not possible from the admin. they were never updated for the latest version so i rebuilt them. Still it was guess work. I just decided to cut my time by doing a fresh install and rebuilding the flat rate clones. Bottom line, all is well. database has one duplicate id which I'll again attempt to figure out soon. I think posting this helps people understand... it may not be a walk in the park but Zen and the people on here who have good experience, help you out quite a bit. If you're saving money using zen cart, throw them a bone...donate something.

As for the "rebuild" scenario. You know what version of zen cart was used to provide the modified file. That version can still be downloaded. An original copy of that unmodified file compared to your modified file would show you the minimum changes that were needed to incorporate your redesign. Generally saves a lot of time and headache compared to potentially testing and/or missing out.
