ANy updated SEO plugins in the works? I know there is the old Simple SEO URL plugin. But not even sure if that works on version north of 1.5.1
And it pretty outdated.

There are two that are more generally accepted: Ceon URI Mapping and Ultimate SEO URIs. Both are offered in the downloads area though for some reason the updates for Ceon URI Mapping are not fully present there, but are available from Ceon's website.
