Request a quote

SO I know I can do this by making a product with an attribute for uploading a file and then add a text box for them to enter info in to request a quote. But they have to go thru the check out process. I did a search for plugins that would do this and did not see anything.

I would like to add a button like the ask a question where they could also attach a file. Is this possible, My last thought was just to have a product call Need a quote? and it would have a link to click on that would pull my email address into a email so they could just email me.

Thoughts and suggestions.

How about changing the Ask a Question button to "Need a Quote?"? Then change the Ask a Question page verbiage to suit your needs.

Or, copy the code and make it possible to have both

Using CSS, you could control which products the button shows up on.

I did but was trying to do it without making them go thru the checkout steps. I just went the simple way for now, and made it where hey can email me the info for a quote.
