Hello!
This is going to be hard, but I'm a little bit desperate.
First of all, I want to thank anyone who tries to help.
I'm not English and not a programmer, so please, be patient.

My father owns a website store that is connected to his company software (a really old one using UNIX)

He told me that he is having 2 big problems, and the website managing company is not fixing them.

The first one is that if you go to any product link, you get a diagonal black and gray striped lines image IF USING CHROME.
If you use edge or Firefox, this doesn't happen.
If any more information helps, I have avoided this issue by zooming the phone screen while the product page is loading. If you do this, you can see the product page, but if not, you can't see anything, and the only option it to hit the back button in chrome.


For the second problem, which consists in the payment getting done in the payment platform, but the product staying in the shopping cart and not showing as sold

I'm pretty sure you don't want to hear this, but I believe you should start here. You're using a version of Zen Cart that was OUTDATED almost 12 years ago. Not released, but outdated! This is the equivalent of still using Win95...

The stripes are coming from colorbox which failes to load because your site is trying to load jQuery using methods that no longer exist (jsapi). It's easy to fix, you just need to load jQuery directly. But again, that's the least of your problems - you seriously need to upgrade!

Same answer for the payment issue - you need to upgrade.

Your current website is so EXTREMELY vulnerable that even a 7-year-old kid could hack it. Please get the upgrade to the top of you priorities list and once that's done, these problems are most likely gonna resolve itself.
