red flag Godaddy migration -> killed Zencart (path issues?)

Godaddy migrated our site to another service or system during the night and now our Zen Cart is tossing up a "Setup up your Zen Cart" page, with a few options as to why the page is being shown. This page is shown for both the admin and general cart pages.

    2. Your /includes/configure.php and/or /admin/includes/configure.php file contains invalid path information and/or invalid database-connection information.

Godaddy admits to changing the sites paths, but even after fixing the paths in the two configure.php files, I'm still getting this Setup page.

Anyone else having this issue and know what needs to be changed?

red flag Re: Godaddy migration -> killed Zencart (path issues?)

THe PHP version of the server is 5.6. I don't recall what it was before to know if this has changed and perhaps is the source of the problem. I have the option to upgrade to newer versions, but 5.6 is the oldest supported option offered

The contents of that message are the best source of identifying the issue. If the php version were directly an issue, there should be a message about that as well, though if this was version 1.3.9, then php 5.6 would typically be too high.

Prior to saving the changes for the catalog version of the includes/configure.php file, was it made writeable? The changes may not have actually been written to the file.

I edited the files directly via the godaddy file manager. The changes seem to be there when I refresh the page.

On the phone with godaddy support and they can't say that the PHP version was changed or not, but their belief is that it was not changed. Same with SQL version.
So this brings us back to the configure.php files and the path within. Still on phone with godaddy, but they don't know Zen Cart, so they don't know whats important in the files.

Found out that the previous version of php was 5.4.
So it was upgraded to v5.6 and it would seem that this is the problem.
I was able to get godaddy to redirect back to our site which was still on the old server. We are back up.
But it seems I now must upgrade to the latest ZenCart before they pull the plug on the old server.

Yep, 1.3.9 was not designed to run on PHP 5.6 - and more importantly, both are long obsolete. Upgrading guide:
