My store is down, support at HostGator can't fix it, upgrade 1.5.1 to 1.5.7d HELP!

Well, they knocked it back to 5.4 and now it's working. Told me I have a couple of months to upgrade. Not sure I will or won't at this point, with them, anyhow. Thinking it may be time to move to another host that I don't have to threaten to get anything done.

One issue remains. I tried to set up a new ZC v1.5.7d in a different folder, using their module. It didn't work. Got error messages. Wondering if it's because ZC was looking for older version and went wiggy or something in HostGator's php mod. Will check and post results. Thanks to everybody for all the help and suggestions.

Don't do that. Use the standard upgrade process - not Softaculous or any other tool.

You could even do the Quickie Upgrade so that your cart is up to date. I encourage you to not delay upgrading from 1.5.1 - this version is quite old and only runs on old, unsupported versions of PHP, which means your site is more vulnerable to attack by bad guys.

Did oyu ever find a new hosting service that supports Zen 1.58a ?

Im with Hostgator but dont want to have the nigthmare you had ...
