help with images not showing up

i am having a hard time adding images.. when I add them in the admin add product. I add the image it is 600x600 pix

see attached..

as you can see is uploaded but it doesn't show in the admin. but it shows on the website. I just don't understand what is going on. if anyone has any ideas or need more information

I just wanted to add is I have deleted and reloaded the product and recreated it.. I made sure everything was out of the database.. I tried different versions of the picture.
i have in png mostly because of the clear background. some load just fine other don't. I have imagehandler5 also

To debug, inspect the URL to the broken image in your browser's dev tools. Other posts on this topic seem to point to incorrect entries in the admin/includes/configure.php file, possibly these lines

But your second post says that some images are loading while others aren't - so that doesn't point to a configure.php error. Inspect the broken image link and go from there.
