Cart Span & Square

zen cart 1.5.7c
Client says payments are not showing up in Cart Span. They claim not their problem. Square installed a few weeks ago and working fine. It's obvious square is a bit different but how could square be so different? Of course I know nothing about how cart span works. Anyone out there who might know what's going on here? Could this be an issue corrected by 1.5.7d?

What's "Cart Span"?

Supposedly imports orders in. I assume it's desktop enabled and I don't believe there's any additional files on one's website. I was hoping for someone who has worked with it before who could make some guesses.

Pretty sure the problem is that cart span is polling for transaction information and looking at the fields for the old version of the module (table:square_payments fields: transaction_id/tender_id) and the new module uses (table:square_payments fields: payment_id/sq_order) for the same information.
