htaccess files

Details of site in signature these are up to date.

I have had to start again (don't ask!!!!!) and need to access the .htaccess file in my admin folder in cpanel but it is not showing up, can anyone tell me how to get this to show up please?

There's possibly a 'show hidden files' setting as shown at this link

Thank you, I cant get to the files that way. I have no idea why they are hidden. But my web host has just un-hidden the files and also made the change I needed to make, it is a similar issue to one I had a few months ago and they provided the fix then.

When you are in the file manager in cPanel over on the top right you can go into settings and there is a tick box for "show hidden files" which will unmask all of the .filename and .foldernames that are normally hidden.
