error Please select a state from the States pull down menu

I use numinix fast and easy checkout.

When I go to submit the form I get error we are having an issue with "Please select a state from the States pull down menu."

In my backend settings I have State field - Display as pulldown when possible? (set to false)

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on how to solve this issue

Just some extra information sometimes it does work. But most of the time i get that error. Not sure why it would work sometimes and other address it does not.

Just another note: I did some test and it works most of the the time. Why would this occur randomly? Anyone have any suggestions
