    Default V1.5.8 - Patching v1.5.6c level database

    Good day,
    Can someone please tell me what my next step should be?

    I had to upgrade v1.5.6c site =>> v1.5.8 in a php8.0 environment. (IP upgraded)
    Somehow, I got the site running (?) but the backend is not right and reports
    "Zen Cart 1.5.8 - Database Patch Level: 1.5.6"

    (for instance: cannot change user or password)

    Thankyou
    kokolo

    If you rerun zc_install you should be able to get through this.

    The zc_install procedure updates your database, which is what it sounds like you need. I assume you would want to keep your current store directory if all the files are updated to 1.5.8.

    As you step through the zc_install process, if you are not presented with an active button to do a database upgrade, then *do not* select to do a fresh install using the existing configuration. A database backup before attempting the process will allow a possibility of restoring.
