v1.5.7c - 503 Service Unavailable Error With Customer Login

I really hope that someone can help me figure this out.....

Today, I tried to "login as a customer" to place an order and I get the following:

Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

The above text appears on an all white screen!

I CAN login to my admin, and the rest of my site seems to function, but when I try to place an order and login to a customers account or even when I reset my password I could not login, I still only got the white screen with the above error......

Since this is a host-related problem, what is your host telling you?

Can you get to a control panel of some kind like cPanel's file manager to see if there are any debug files in the logs directory?

My host (GoDaddy) says that they can't see an issue on their end! They are blaming it on my PHP version....
I'm using an old PHP 5.6 because I have some old code on another site that would be very difficult to update!

In my cPanel error log I see an error with an unrelated folder with some images, but it seems to have been happening for awhile now.....

From what I can see, everything on my website is working except logging into a customers account!!

Okay.... Now when I go to the landing-page in my admin, I get that same "Service Unavailable" error !!!

But is seems to be ONLY on that page in the admin, and when trying to login on the customer side.....

Then you need to hire a developer. Your stuff is way out of date and needs to be upgraded. PHP 5.6 hasn't receive even security patches for YEARS.

Thanks! I know I do..... Then 2 questions:

1) Do you think that the PHP version is the issue that just started out of nowhere this afternoon?

2) Will my ZC v1.5.7c handle the PHP version switch easily? Is there a procedure posted somewhere?

Your problem is that GoneDaddy shutdown PHP 5.6 because many of the platforms they carry are vulnerable when running a PHP so old. With it gone, you will have difficulty getting files from an old version.

If you don't care about prior information and are ready to start fresh, get the latest version and go for it.

And, 1.5.7c is two versions old already and will probably be three here soon.

I do absolutely need all of the prior info, so starting fresh isn't a possibility!
Looking at my hosting portal, I'm still running on PHP v5.6!
Could my error issue still be caused by the PHP version when nothing seems to have changed?
And this started yesterday in the middle of the afternoon!
