Zen Cart has a long history (more than a decade) of those wishing to develop time-based products, such as event ticketing. I did some work on developing the Event Calendar plugin for early releases of 1.5x, but which at the time as designed more for event marketing than ticket purchasing. However further development ceased as Zen Cart upgrades began to exceed my understanding of coding and as I was unable to find anyone willing to help with the coding. I still believe a plugin that does both marketing and purchasing is well worth developing, but for me this would require the help of competent coders. While I was able to modify the original code to suit fluid responsive layouts, the direction of responsive templates has also changed considerably from what I was then envisioning, which means that much of this work will need to be redone.

it would be advisable for someone with skills to make a plugin like this for rent with the relative booking calendar,
given that at the moment there is a great demand for rented bikes, cars, rented bikes, rented motorbikes etc etc
Hotel, bed and breakfast etc etc
