Default Additional *IMPORTANT* Details: includes/configure.php file contents invalid. ie: DIR

I lost access to admin section of my test server in local computer, ZC was 157.
So, instead of upgrading I decided to wipe it out with a new install of 1.5.8.a
I cannot install https in local because there is no Domain Manager where I can set https with certbot, so I deleted instance instance of https in configure.php, however it is still reporting error.
I want my store to be in landing page so I guess it should be /.
I don't know how to move forward with install.
    Please help.

I just checked the contents of /includes/configure.php on live server and they are the same as those in local server, only difference is that the live one well...works.
Then I remembered a subtle detail that the live site I installed via the file in folder zc_install (no longer exists).
So I repeated the procedure and it worked like a charm, maybe an inconsistency in system setup file.
Now I am happy like a kid in his playground.

Even if you don't use https, the file should still have the define. Whether the define includes https or just http, so be it, but removing the define entirely creates other issues.

To prevent accessing https, the define for ENABLE_SSL then should be 'false'. Note though that you may want to test operation on a server that supports https before implementing changes on your live site, just to ensure everything works as expected.

Otherwise, it is a little difficult to understand what considerations you're proposing because there are no details about what you are suggesting to be set to /.

Well, I am not involved with purity of code, I just need it to work and installiing via zc_install got it to work just the way i needed, this is a local server in my computer which i use to test modifications, there is no SSL, no certificate, etc.
Right now I am using it to test themes/templates, when it works the way I need, then I port to live site.
Just to let you know, I didn't do any modification in live site, not needed because it runs on https.
Both work fine, if i do find a glitch in the local site, I just have to copy over from the original in the live site.
But I am happy with way it works, hope that nothing will needed, the /character is the symbol for root, so both sites open immediately into zen cart, just the way I wanted.
ENABLE_SSL then should be 'false'. It is in the test site which lives in my computer, it doesn't go anywhere, just loops back to the server in my computer, such is the wonder of Linux.
    CONCLUSION: I don't fix what ain't broke.
