Running Totals

Using V158a.
Longshot question, has anyone found a way to keep a running total when adding Attributes to an item so the buyer knows the price before adding it to the cart?

Just a simple box. I thought there was an addon from an older version but I can't find it.

DPU plugin should do that for you. You might need to refer to its support thread to get it fully working with v1.5.8a - my memory is a bit hazy on that.

I created a github repository for folks to join in trying to get this current.

It is not perfect but does work with 1.5.8a. It may take a little bit of trial and error with attribute settings to get it like you want.

Thanks, it looks like it should be a direct install without any overwrites, I'll give it a test and see what breaks.

Thanks for the lead and the updates, I installed the Github version to my test version and no overwrites, just took a few minutes to get it setup and working.

I really like the Sidebox breakdown by the way and how it only shows when your on a product page.

Perhaps you can help with this, I have 2 fields @ $0.00 for Text Input (Room/Area & Instructions) and they both show up in in the Sidebox and I don't have an issue with that other that it shows the field name as "TEXT".

Only question is where can I rename "TEXT" to something else.

Looking to make just one change to the Sidebar.
I have 2 Text Input fields ($0.00) and on the sidebar it shows "TEXT X 1 ($0.00) and all I would like to do is change the word "TEXT" to something else like "Cust. Input"



P.S. I have no issue with leaving it as is, This is only being setup for Salespersons & Admins can place orders so Customers won't get that far.

I'm working on an EZ-Page to display the rest of the inventory in a Gallery Format with a "Call For Details Button" and the salesperson will setup the account and process the order.

I would think the ideal thing would be for the sidebox to list the entered text and the price for it.

i.e., Monogramming a shirt would show the name/information being monogrammed and the total fee for that.

Only drawback I see is, if the text area gets over 20+ characters, the entry might need to be truncated.

As stated before, I have not submitted this to Plug Ins as I am not versed in the code needed to build/maintain it.

All input is appreciated. If anyone more knowledgeable wants to run with this, that's great. I just don't want to get lost in the rabbit hole of "use this part from that github version and that part from the other github". I think one location is always the best for such things.
