Listing of products on pages

Although the table heading is horizontal, the information for each product is vertical. When i first installed Zencart (9 years ago?) the information was lined up under the table headings. After upgrading to one of the versions (forgot which one) I was unable to do that.
Is there a way to do that. Not critical but it would look nicer.

Those aren't column headings as much as buttons that allow you to sort on the labelled fields. If you style the buttons or the background with a different color, their purpose will be more clear.
