    Default Modules Override

I've gotten my online store working well, but now I'm going back to put in some additional code for inserting data into PDF's downloaded through the store. I know I need to put code into the includes/modules/pages/download/header_php.php, but no matter where I put my override folder it still uses the header_php.php from the install. Does someone have some tips for overriding that file?

For now I'm writing into the installed file on the development site since I'm going to open an fdf linked to the downloadable PDF, but I really want to keep this separate as I have had success with doing override directories throughout the rest of the site.

I had the same problem - apparently there's no way to override these files. See the thread in http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30954

The only places that an over ride can be used at this time are where ever you see a folder named classic

Thanks. I'm keeping my old file in a folder set up like it is an override then I'll write my new code into the current file. That should help remind me not to overwrite it!

I think you're doing that the wrong way - keep copies of your NEW files in an "override" folder; future updates will overwrite what you now have as core files, and if all you have in your "override" folder are the originals, you will lose your changes.

Personally, any core files I change I copy and rename simply by adding MYMOD to the file extension, leaving them alongside the working file...and I try to discipline myself to ensure I keep a record of changes.
