    Default Files aren't overriding

    Greetings and thanks for reading!

I had all my Define Pages files saved in the classic folder when I used fantastico to update my site. Most things turned out great, except that for some reason, my ZC isn't reading the classic language files. It IS reading the classic template files however.

I am wondering not only why this could be happening, but if I can just use the files in the classic folder on my new installation, replacing their equivallent files in the English folder in my installation? I'm just not sure if changes have been made in the 1.3.X that would affect my store if I use these files.

    thanks again for your time,

    Sabastina

When upgrading, did you followed all the instructions properly from the docs folder ?

It is possible that you might of had missed some lines during the upgrade operation. ;)

In the mean time, did you checked the switches from your admin section - > tools menu ?

Thanks alot for taking the time to reply.

I didn't do the upgrade manually, I used the fantastico in my Site CP.

I'm not sure what you mean regarding switches? I have set each section in the admin panel, could you please let me know to which section in the Tools menu you are referring so that I can make sure I didn't overlook something working with the new system? I would appreciate it!

I plan to do the 1.3.1 upgrade tommorrow (to tired tonight)-Maybe that's the problem...I'm hoping it is!

    Thanks alot,

I assume that theoracle was referring to the settings in your admin panel under Tools->Template Selection.
