Expiry for new product status

Hi

I have been reviewing my latest project and have noticed that every product that has been added is still showing when I choose the new products option - now 575 products.

How do I configure Zen so that products only stay in new product status for 30 days after adding?

Also, is there an easy way for me to update every product in the system so that the number in stock displays 100 instead of 10?

admin > configuration > maximum values > "New Product List - Limited to ... "

See if you have a really long "new product" lifespan.
