Got Much further, but have gotten this error message now

Connection to Database failed
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) more info...

I checked my database name and password but still got this error.

I don't know much about ZenCart or mysql, but one problem I had with setting up my first software that used the mysql data bases was that the database name and the user name are almost the same. One starting with "db" and the other starting with "dbo" but otherwise being identical. There is also the Host name to be careful of. They aren't necessarily the default values that show up on the installation screens for zencart. I know mine weren't and the first time around I used the defaults.

Not sure if this is leading to your problems, but they were things I ran into.

But if I were you I would check to make sure that I had the actual values entered in for:
Database name
Host name
User name

You might be leaving the default information in like I did.

Maybe that will help.

I am using GoDaddy as well and am having the same problem. What did you do to fix it, if it is fixed.
