Solihull - what exactly is happening? Are you getting the error during the install? Are you able to proceed with the install anyway?

Or have you installed and are getting some other error on your site? Please quote the error in full if this is the case.

The includes/configure.php file has nothing to do with the Base Dir Restriction problem - except that the configure.php file is empty of all of the data that should get written to it by the install.

Let's try this.... THIS IS BETA CODE so some display components may look funny. I'm offering it as a possible workaround to the open_basedir warning/error situation.

Take the attached file, and use it to replace your
    /zc_install/includes/modules/pages/inspect/header_php.php

Then try getting through the system-inspection page again.

    Ummmmmmmmmmmm

    I have:/zc_install/includes/modules/pages/
Then when I get to the Is I have a choice of:

    index
    or
    Info_shopping_cart

    No sign of "inspect/header_php.php"

    Am I missing something here?

    /zencart/includes/modules/pages/info_shopping_cart/......
    vs
    /zencart/zc_install/includes/modules/pages/inspect/......

Are you sure you retained the proper folder structure when you uploaded the files to your server ?

What FTP software are you using?
