index_default & define pages(4+ define pages on frontpage?)

I would like to get the main page of a site i'm working to look similar to http://www.johnlewis.com.

I am thinking of hardcoding the images, and maybe using fadeshow or a rotator script to keep them changing.

I was thinkinh of using lots of define pages to allow the shop owner to change the content using HTMLarea.

Does anyone have any other good ideas?

Why would you want to add more define pages when you have EZ-Pages built into v1.3.0+ ?
