Zen-Cart Logo

I know that this is outlined in the FAQ and I have done what they've suggested.

My problem: I cannot get rid of the Zen-cart logo in the upper right hand corner of my site. I have eliminated every "logo.gif" and replaced them with my gif name, made enough copies of the gif file to wallpaper my bathroom. Still nothing.

Suggestions please?

This is going to sound silly, but have you cleared your browser cache?
Do that, then reload (don't just refresh) the page.

If you still see the wrong logo, right-click on the logo and you should see some option to view image (or try properties in IE). This will show you the exact url the browser is fetching the image from.

Check that file-if it's your image and not the old logo that is showing, rename it, refresh your browser (image should disappear) and name it back again.

BUT, that's not where you should put your logo.

You have created your own tenplate directory called my_template. You should create a directory inside it called images and place your logo there. Zen Cart will look first for you logo, stylesheet and template file in the durectories under my_template and only if it doesn't find them will it go looking in template_default. The risk of changing things in template_default is that if you upgrade, your changes may be lost.

If I could make one other observation about your site. Your images desparately need optimising for the web. Your thumbnails currently range in size from about 1.5k to almost 1.7MB. Maybe you planned this for later in your development cycle, in which case I apologise for bringing it up now.
