how do I go about doing that? I want to be able to sell products where there is a retail price and a salon price. However I only want the salon people to be able to access the reduced price. any ideas on how to go about doing this? retail is 10% higher than salon.

Do the salon people get a 10% discount on *all* products?

IF so, you could use the Group Discounts for this and the discount will be applied during checkout ...

yes they do- but how do you apply all group discounts?

Create the Group Discounts in the Customers ... Group Pricing ...

Then assign the Group Discounts to your salon customers ...

I have a situation like the above, except that NOT all items are elligble for the discount, i.e. certain items need to be excluded. Is there a way to have different customer groups see different prices and still exclude certain items?

I thought I'd do it using coupons but I know the client I'm devloping this for isn't going to like that, so if there is a more elegant way that would be great!

At this time ... the group discounts are all or nothing ...

This could, however, be customized ... but it would take quite a bit of work to do so ...

Hello,

I am lookin at setting up a cart for a client who has different pricing, per customer, per product. Due to this, group discounts won't work as the discount is not fixed amount or percentage.

Just reading through the threads and it appears as though at this time ZenCart cannot do what I need. I was just wondering if there are any thoughts for being able to setup individual pricing per customer anytime in the future?

My client would be happy to go with set pricing for the moment as they are in the early stages of their business, but they want the cart to be scaleable for the future.

ck out "group pricing (per item)" mod by Jeremiah Peterson... not sure what you want to do, but it worked beautifully for me.
