Simple application: catalog to sell books and posters in USA.
The new user package would benefit from such a simple example of setup values.

Zen cart PCI compliant Hosting
Thanks, Merlin.
My ISP installed zen-cart. How do I get/find the demo products?
I presume its something on zen-cart site that I can FTP to mine.
Found DEMO in zip. Install docs say they can be selected for inclusion, but nothing about adding demo AFTER install.
BTW: is there a way to edit a post after submitting?
Using your Database GUI, browse to the demo sql and execute it.

Only for five minutes, after that little men with chisels get to work carving it in stone and only the adminstrators can undo it.Originally Posted by thimker

Ok, some learning done.
I learned that some install problems were from letting Fantastico do install, so I ripped and made my own MySQL DB.
Then to 1.readme_installation.html.
Neither zips zen-cart-v1-1-4 or zen-cart-v1-1-3 had all folders described in 1.readme_installation.html, so I created under
/catalog/ => /zencart/
media
cache
/includes/languages/english/html_includes
That means I lack any content for them.
PLEASE explain.
I don't yet have my https://, but expect soon.
I changed the config files to 644, and get msg
"Warning Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/oldcolor/public_html/zencart/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file."
I changed that one to 444, and get same msg. This does not look good to visitors.

And, Sermonzone, it is polite to read that seeker for knowledge has already tried both 644 and 444, advised by the link you provided. If I misread you, I'm sorry, but I think that you misread me.Always wise to search the FAQ and Wiki for answers.
