zen-cart folder

My husband re-did a website for his friend. The site was originally created using some online web site creator, and the store was created on line as well by this guy. My husband redesigned the website, but left the store alone. He then deleted all the files that were previously on line but saved the zen-cart folder to his computer, and while uploading all the new html files also uploaded the zen-cart folder. problem is now the store doesnt work.

any ideas on what went wrong and/or how to go about getting it running again?

I appreciate any help you can give to us.

You are probably missing the database. Zen Cart is a PHP & MYSQL driven program.

Does your web host have a MYSQL database? Do you have PHP?

yes the host is doteasy and they support MySQL and PHP.. What should we be looking for? is there a folder called database? or possibly MySQL?

you should really manually create a database and then run the installer on the server
this will populate the databasae and reset the config files....

please note that this will NOT overwrite any files except the config files and they need to be written anyway
