    website width

    Hi all,

    How and where to set the overall website width? As i know, in version 1.2.7, when I increase the product image size for "New Product For Month" section, the overall website width is automatically increased too. It has 3 images per line as below:
    1,2,3
    4,5,6

    However, in version 1.3.0, when i increased the product image size for "New Product For Month" section, the overall website width did not increase, it display 2 images in the 1st line and the 3rd image in 2nd line and a blank space followed behind. It didnt look good. The images displays like this:
    1,2
    3
    4,5
    6

    Please help me on setting the page layout. Thanks.

    If you're using a template based on template_default then find the following in the stylesheet.css
    #mainWrapper {
    background-color: #e5edf5;
    text-align: left;
    width: 760px;
    vertical-align: top;
    }
    and change the width setting in px or as a %

    The default width in #mainWrapper is 100%. I changed it to 800px and 1000px, it still looks the same size. Please help!

    Can you post a link to the site?

    Please check out the New Product For May" section. The display and arrangement of images is not nice. http://www.jewelbella.com/shop

    The mainWrapper width for your website is currently 750px. I suspect that you are editing the stylesheet.css in the template_default section of your website which does have a default of 100%. However, because you are using the Classic template, this is ignored and instead your website is using the value from stylesheet_new.css.

    Developing new sites by editing the Classic template is not recommended. Here is an explanation of why and a link to a step-by-step guide to a better approach. If you feel that you need a template from which to start developing your own look, this one would be much easier to work with than Classic.
