Default Shipping cost based on number of items...

Well, I thought I had this figured out, I just used the Table Rate shipping module and it worked fine...BUT, the cart I'm working on now has two different items for which the shipping must be calculated, so the simple table rate shipping won't work, as far as I can tell. Is there another way to do this that I am not aware of?

    Thanks for any help!

Could you give a more real world example of your shipping needs and how you envision shipping working?

Then we can probably better construct a shipping method that might meet these needs ...

Yes, ma'am, thank you :) . I'm just copying and pasting straight from the client's e-mail to me.

Notepads : Wholesale and retail shipping structure
    UP to 5 = $5.00
    6-15 = $8.00
    16-30 = $12.50
    31-48 = $17.00
    49 and above = $20

I also forgot to let you know that I have the wholesale section, too. I had set that up under a different shopping cart, but would love if it could be under the same cart. The reason I set it up under a different cart is because shipping costs do apply to the wholesale prices.

    CD Wholesale Shipping STructure:
    Up to 6 = $3.00
    7-18 = $9.00
    19-30 = $15
    31-42 = $18
    43 and above = $21

CD Retail Shipping Structure : FREE except when non US it is $2.50/CD

So, for the first section, I just used the table rates module, set the weight at a pound per item and set the rates based on weight. BUT, since the CD shipping is different than the notepad pricing, I can't use the table rates for it, too, can I? Am I missing something there or can it not be done?

Thanks, Linda, for being so quick!
