Missing images in Admin area?

Last week for no apparent reason all the images in my admin area stopped showing up. I have no idea how to fix this and to say the least it makes it a bit difficult to navigate the pages and to see active shopping carts.

The rest of the shopping cart (front end) is fine, as well as all th eback end functions. It's just weird.

Any body have any clues?

Do you see the outline of the broken buttons?

If you click right on it ... check the path it goes to and the permissions on the images ...

If not ... look in the source code ... is the button code there? If so, follow the path to the button and check the permissions ...

Hmmmm...

When I right click to view the images they appear fine. In fact if I hit the back button on the browser afterwards the image shows up. The images don't show as a broken box or outline though, the only thing visible is the alternate wording on the screen.

Permissions seem fine and the source code hasn't been changed. It's not only buttons missing but ALL images including the product photos in the preview pages in the catalog area.

I didn't change any permissions or code before of the missing images happened. Is it normal for code to "disappear"?

We don't have disappearing buttons ...

What browser are you using?

Did you try closing your browers, clearing cache and cookies and see if this resolves the problem?

What are you using to do this? whos_online or an add-on?

I am on a MAC OS 10 using Safari and Firefox. I have been using the cart for a while now with no problems. Then all of a sudden no images. Just bizzare.

I will try to clear the cache and see if that helps.

Well clearing the cache and resetting the permissions didn't change anything. All the images are physically on my server. It must be something changes in the code which I doubt, since I don't muck around with that, or something my host has done which I will have to make a call on to find out if they have made any changes in the last week.
