    I'm wondering if perhaps there's some extra linkpoint files in the includes/modules/payment folder

    All I can say right now is THANK YOU DR BYTE

    I am not sure what extra was where or what else you did but the end result is a working communicating cart/gateway that didn't have to be reinstalled or anything else. I did email hostexcellence what you said about the extra info they wrote into the .htaccess file at the root dir. No reply yet. Much appreciated and I'm working on that donation, have to upload funds, as we don't ever keep existing ones in paystink. ;)
