Default USPS shipping cost doesn't change

I switched a site from osC to Zen Cart a few months ago and since the change, the USPS shipping module calculates the same shipping cost no matter what the shipping address is.

    I am running 1.2.7.

I have searched for several days and cannot find anyone with a similar problem. The site is live now and the address is http://www.mamasite.net/index.php.

    My tare settings are:
Package Tare Small to Medium - added percentage:weight - 0:0
    Larger packages - added packaging percentage:weight- 10:0

    Thanks,
    Angel

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the module?

Yes, I did. And it still does the same thing. No change in the cost of shipping despite the shipping address.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

I am still having problems calculating different USPS charges for different addresses.

I feel like it might just be a setting off somewhere in the admin, but I have read through many many posts on setting up USPS and everything checks out.

If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.

The site is live at: http://www.mamasite.net/index.php

The USPS module for Zen Cart works very well - so I'm guessing that you just don't have it set up correctly in your Zen Cart admin panel, either that or you have not assigned different (individual) weights to each product.

How about listing some Ship From and Ship To addresses and what your results are so we can test them against the results we get ...

    Vger,

That is my thought exactly, but I had a similar module running with osC before and never had a problem. There are weights assigned to each product.

I appreciate you taking the time to look over my post though.

    Ajeh,

I think I have solved this problem. Although I was using an address that was a couple hundred miles from my own, that address always gives me the same shipping cost as my own address.

When I change that address to somewhere further away, it will change. That is strange. I just assumed (yeah, I know - no jokes! :) that if the address was a few hours drive away, the cost should be more. In this case, apparently not.

Thanks so much for all of your time!

/me bites her tongue ... thinking she was slow on shipping in the real world ...

Just teasing ... that is why I had asked about the addreses ... I have done a number of comparissons and found Gee ... why are all shipping costs the same?! Only to realize ... heck ... I am sitting in the middle of the country ... rather tough to make 1000 miles west or 1000 miles east or 1000 miles south a big price difference ...

    Who knew?

Thanks for the update on this ...
