Remove Discount Coupons from GC

I'm new here, was wandering if anyone knew how to remove the discount coupons from a Gift Cerfiticate purchase? Not sure if I did it right, but I created gift certificates as a separate category and it works! But I don't want to offer a discount! Thanks.

If you have created your Gift Certificates properly, Discount Coupons cannot be used to purchase Gift Certificates ...

I understand that DISCOUNT COUPONS would not work, but can it be removed when purchasing a GC? I think it would be confusing for a customer especially if a discount is being offered!

So what you are asking is to have the Discount Coupons are turn off automatically if there is a Gift Certificate in the shopping cart? What if your customer has a Gift Certificate and and item that has a coupon?
