exceeded the 'max_questions' resource (current value: 50000)

Anyone know how i can remedy this situation??

i think i have turned off db caching, but it still seems to happen.

is there anything else i can try?

i have also tried deleting old products to free up the database.

Thats a seriously slow parse time.
To reduce the amount of queries, shut off all the boxes and functions you dont need.
Then search for all posts by user "devosc" one of his old ones will reduce that count by a few hundred potentially.
I sounds like your host has limited the number of database queries.
I would suggest a new host as they shouldnt do this.

    thanks ppl,

i have looked @ the other posts, and am going down the rolling db user path.

the host has capped db queries to 50'000, which i'm hitting almost every 1/2 hour.

i don't want to change hosts, as i have got a great package (except db issue) where i can host upto 25 websites & unlimited db's 600GB bandwith, 25GB webspace, for £70 p/year

I dont think its that great if they have that low limit.
Theres a million and one places you can host your site for $1.99 a month but you run into problems like limiting the number of queries, slow sites as there are 20000 other sites on the same server etc etc.
Its better to pay say 10 quid a month and have things working than 75 quid a year for nothing.
    Time to move I think....
