    the only bad thing about the godaddy seal is you can pick it up and move it between sites.

    I had one from a customer on a demo site for about 6 months...
    they had it live on their site, and I had it running on a totally different domain on a different server.... that was TOOOOOO funny...

    When thinking about SSL it's important to find out just how widely they are accepted. If a new SSL cert comes on to the market, offering really cheap deals, it may be because they are not listed by the major browsers in that browsers trusted root store - in which case your customers will get an onscreen warning that the cert is not to be trusted. GoDaddy and Geotrust are two of the cheaper SSL certs which have wide browser recognition.
