Then what is database host? www.yahoo.com? or db1.yahoo.com?

try using
localhost
it will tell you if its not right
localhost does not work.....
it came out like this:
Connection to Database failed
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (46) more info...

I just searched Yahoo's webhosting "Help" pages and found this:

Use 'mysql' for the host name
