Error Adding ReadOnly Attribute to Product

In the Admin Attrib Manager, when I try to add a Read Only attribute to a product I get this error:

Attribute Option and Option Value Do NOT Match - Attribute was not added - Customize the Home Page Text : TEXT
I had previously defined the options as READONLY and that seemed to work fine, but I can't add it to the product.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks!

READONLY is just that a READONLY ...

It displays text on the screen ... it does not add anything to the Product ...

It does not get added to the Cart ...

You need to use Radiobutton or Dropdown for most everything ...

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Okay, so I can't use it as a Title for a Group of radios, or other controls. I read elsewhere where you recommended the use of the 0 position for this purpose, but the control (radio button for example) displays with it so I think it might be confusing.

I guess I will just have to modify the product listing php. GULP.

    Thanks, Ajeh!

I think I've found a way to comment the start of the control group! Maybe you all know this, but it is news to me so I thought I'd post it. To add a comment to a control group, like a radio group:

    O Red
    O Blue
    O Green

Add a comment to the first in the sorted group, in this case, the red value, then it would look like this:

Please select a color for your t-shirt:
    O Red
    O Blue
    O Green

It works with all of the controls I have tested. Hope it will work for you all.

Mods please delete this if it is wrong! Thanks!

    Thanks for the update ...

There are comments available in the Option Name when you edit ... and you can really add some effective instructions etc. if you play with this a bit ...

    Thanks for posting this ...
