Purchase Orders and Groups?

I would like to be able to have certain customers be able to use purchase orders to place an order with me. I do not want this to be avaliable to everyone. I have the PO module installed but not activated yet.

Is it possible to set up certain customers into a group so that they will have the purchase order payment option or any payment option for that matter, only available to them?

This would be possible to set a Payment Module to only appear based on a given condition ...

In each module is the $this->enabled

If that is false, then the module cannot run ...

This can be controlled via functions to manage when a Payment Module runs as a secondary test to the fact that it is installed to run ...

Thanks for the response. While i kinda understand what you are saying I am not at the point where I am capable of doing such a thing on my own. Would you be willing to work with me on this? We can take it to PM to work out the arrangements and donation/payment details if you would like.

I put together a small mod some time ago which I have called 'Invoice'. Basically it allows members of a specific group (configurable in admin) to choose to be invoiced rather than pay by credit card. I think this is probably close to what you are looking for. It is very simple to install - there are only three new files and everything else can be set up in admin. I've just tested this in Zencart v 1.3.0.1 and it works just fine.
